Background:

This co-educational independent school based in Hook, Hampshire that covers over 1,200 acres.

Industrial Heaters have been providing their services to the college since 2006, carrying out a variety of projects from the installation and maintenance of the radiant heating in the sports hall to the installation and maintenance of the air conditioning in the classrooms.

One of the most recent projects was to specify and install suitable cooling for the cardiovascular gym.

Solution

After calculating the cooling requirement of the proposed space and taking into consideration the number of people in the area, two Mitsubishi wall mounted air conditioning units were proposed and installed in areas that would not obstruct the users. Given the high foot fall of the gym, the units were installed out of term time in order to reduce disruption.

Result:

The units are controlled via hand held IR remotes which allows staff to retain control and minimise unauthorised use. The SRK range is available in a range of outputs and efficiencies to suit different applications and budgets.
