Case Study 13
Replacement Condensing Boiler
Bus Station, Hampshire
Background:
Founded in 1980, this client is one of the largest bus operators in the UK. They boast a fleet of over 7,000 buses and coaches, with bus stations and depots doted all over the country. Industrial Heaters have been carrying out installation, maintenance and breakdown cover for both heating and air conditioning for various depots since 2002.On a recent visit, our engineer found that one of the main components in a gas fired boiler had failed leaving the appliance beyond economical repair.
Solution:
We carried out a site survey and provided a quotation to replace the old atmospheric boiler. Together with our supplier BSS, an Ideal Evomax 100kW condensing boiler was installed. A plate heat exchanger was installed separating the new boiler from the old heating system. This was to ensure longer life and higher efficiency.
Result:
The new boiler was commissioned in time for the start of the heating season. The new boiler being a condensing unit with an extensive modulation range, it is considerably more efficient than the old unit.
