Background:

A long standing customer to Industrial Heaters based in Segensworth, Fareham has taken over a 6,000 m² building just down the road from their existing workshops. The building had 8 floor standing gas fired heaters that were manufactured over 30 years ago. They were so old each heater had asbestos gaskets!

Solution:

We installed five Powrmatic LX90F 90kW gas fired suspended heaters & 1 Powrmatic LX40F gas fired suspended heater. Consideration had to be given in the planning of the installation as major building works were taking place to renovate the building into the workshop, which will allow artic lorries to drive in and be loaded using a 20m gantry crane. The Industrial Heaters installation team were also tasked with modifying approximately 40m of 3” gas main at high level.

Result:

The 6,000m² workshop now benefits from an energy-efficient modulating warm air heating solution. The heaters are suspended from the roof purlins at around 4m off the floor, creating valuable space for the workshop to use whilst, being out of the way from lorries and cranes passing.
