Case Study 12
Replacement Oil Fired Cabinet Heater
Engineering Workshop, Winchester
Background:
Industrial Heaters (Southern) were contacted by a engineering workshop in Winchester to carry out the annual maintenance of heating appliances.
On inspection it was clear that the cabinet heater’s heat exchanger had a large hole, it was beyond repair and was leaking combustion gases into the workplace and therefore the only safe solution was to replace the appliance.
Solution:
We replaced the heater with a Powrmatic oil fired cabinet heater, complete with a Riello high/low fire burner. The heater was installed in line with Oftec recommended standards.
Result:
Powrmatic ERP CPx cabinet heaters are fully compliant with the seasonal efficiency requirement of the latest Ecodesign regulations. The heater is controlled with a Smartcom keypad operated controller which provides optimised start, frost protection and PIN facility to stop unauthorised use and consequent fuel wastage.
